long time, no blog.
i have been living up at Harlem for the last week or so. haven't been doing much, other than reading, catcher in the rye (about time i read this book i thought) and hanging out with Steve and Sarah's neighbours, Pilar and Sarah.
but more importantly... than everything! is the huge win Melbourne Victory had on Saturday night! it was perfect, we beat Sydney fc 3-2 in front of 40,000 fans at the Telstra dome!!!! unbelievable! i know some of my friends would have been their, lucky bastards! check out this picture, who would have thought that this kind of crowd could be for a "soka" match in Australia :D :D
anyway i am still jumping out of my skin having read this news on theage.com heraldsun.com smh.com tribalfootball.com etc... but you will probably already know about this big win as it was on the FRONT PAGE OF THE AGE!!! etc...
anyway. this week i have been trying to decide how i will get to Cali. i was thinking about road tripping it with some dude called Zach. but i realised i can use the first leg of my return trip to Melbourne and get of at LA, then when i leave from LA rather than NY, so i will be saying goodbye to NY for quite a while i believe when i leave. i am still looking forward to checking out San Fransisco if i can. the movie doesn't start for another month so i have some time and i know people in LA which is very helpful as it is a really shitty place if you don't. many would argue it still sucks if you know everyone in the city. i was very surprised and glad to get a comment from Melissa, my cousin up in QLD. send me an email at jakeheinemann@gmail.com that is so cool that my blog is spreading, get the word out ya hear! :) i cant wait to go back out to QLD and see my very extended family out there, mostly based in Townsville (who are in the running to have an A-League team within the next two years). i wonder who else reads this?
anyway, it is a sat night and i am just about to wake up Angelo so we can go out somewhere.
