Back in the NYC

well well,

 

back in the big smoke. moved back in with Steve and Sarah. i got in contact with atilla and Angelo. Attila asked me to work on this rap video he was shooting in the projects so i said yeah. so i get up early and go to the Manhattan project buildings (commission flats) and it was hilarious. the producer is in an self induced coma sleep walking around the set asking people stupid questions, he must have asked me at least 9 times to watch the equipment so no one would steal anything. there were about 25 cast and crew so it was a decent size. the DP (Director of photography - very very important role) was quite well known and had shot many rap video's/. i just randomly helped out where i could, set dressing, making pick ups. i had a massive headache so i went home after only 5 or so hours of work. and according to Attila i missed quite a spectacle: apparently "7 Dirty" was pissed of by some guys and his boys went looking for a fight with them with baseball bats with nails thought them. i think they just hit them and threatened them in the end - good idea boys - jail sucks even for gangster rappers i hear. i had a really bad headache so i get back to Harlem but Steve and Sarah had the keys and wern't coming back till like 10pm so i napped at pilar's house for hours. the next day i still had a headache but Steve told me i should go and help out for the second day of shooting, so i left. i get to the projects but there isn't any crew out the front or any vans so i look around the project. it was like 7 buildings deep. i couldn't find them and called Attila but couldn't get a hold of him, so i got a newspaper and read in the park for an hour or two, then went for a long walk back uptown. Kerri came back to NY yesterday to move stuff into her apartment in Brooklyn which i was drafted for, but she somehow left everything in carver. so we just hung out for the day. Angelo, good ole' Angelo. he is going to Mexico city then LA so he let me use his apartment till the 12th wooOoOO!!! it's so good having your own pad in NY, cant beat it. so Kerri is staying with me for one more day before she go's back to carver. she is out shopping for a job interview. it was really cool last night: Kerri and i are walking down St Marks (8th street) when we decide to call Attila who we presume is staying at Ajay's apartment. we tell him to look out of his window and he sees us, then lest comes to the window, Kerri acted with her in this one scene in ashes. then we see over the road a crew shooting a scene. one of Kerri's friends from school comes running over. then we see josh Neil, the sound guy form ashes and i wave him over. it was really cool to run into much of the old crew in the same corner. so Attila comes down and we walk to this bar, but we had to come back to get the key from Angelo who was leaving for the airport. after he left we couldn't be bothered going back to the bar, but i promised i would call Attila tonight, i want to have a beer with him anyway, he is a legend.
